About

PAUL DAVIS

Paul Davis is a certified VDOT and VO2 Max running coach with a lifelong dedication to endurance sports. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and specializes in the entry-level to intermediate runners who have a desire to excel. His athletic journey began early with competitive swimming and track and field, instilling a deep foundation of discipline, self-motivation, and performance focus.

In his 20s, Paul ran recreationally to stay fit, but a serious back injury in 2006 nearly ended his ability to run altogether. After emergency spinal surgery, doctors told him he would likely never "run marathons" again.

He proved them wrong.

In his 40s, Paul completed his first marathon - a major personal milestone - and went on to finish numerous marathons and ultra-distance races. He has since become a Master's elite competitor, performing at a high level in the 40+ age group and continuing to evolve as both an athlete and coach.

Paul brings a unique blend of scientific training, knowledge, and real-world experience to his coaching. He specializes in helping runners of all levels improve performance, build endurance, and overcome personal setbacks. Whether working with a new runner or competitive athlete, Paul is committed, persistent, and deeply passionate about guiding others to reach their potential.

What he values most is the opportunity to support and celebrate others in their growth. His greatest joy comes not from his own finish times but from watching his athletes achieve their goals and realize what they're truly capable of accomplishing.
